Nancy Matshe is the Director and Head of the Management Training Bureau, a government training institute that specialises in Management and Leadership Training, as well as conferencing facilities. She is a Council member of the Research Council of Zimbabwe and a Board member of Forestry Commission, wherein she earns the title Commissioner.
Nancy Matshe has over 20 years working experience ranging from the private sector to the public sector, as well as organizing training events, conferences, and seminars. Prior to taking the position of Director of the Management Training Bureau she worked for companies such as Lafarge, CFI Holdings, NDH Bank, and Retail Society in the UK, where she made significant contributions in organizational performance and turnaround strategies. She prides herself in agile leadership, being results driven, and leading and driving strategies with integrity. In her current role, she provides thought and agile leadership in a turbulent and complex business environment and is still achieving targets.
Mrs Matshe is a CIMA, an Associate Chartered Management Accountant (ACMA), and a Chartered Global Management Accountant (CGMA),. She holds an MBA in Strategic Planning from Edinburgh Business School (Heriot-Watt University), a BSc (Hons) in Economics from the University of Zimbabwe, and a Diploma in Accounting and Finance with ACCA. She is currently studying for a PhD in Strategic Management with the University of Zimbabwe. Nancy is an International Finance Corporation (IFC) Trained Trainer in the areas of Corporate Governance, Strategy and Leadership.
Nancy Matshe is one woman who sees value in personal and professional developments of oneself and her management team. In her spare time Nancy is a Toastmaster, where she derives significant communication and confidence skills. She values giving back to the community thus she is involved with the St Giles Rehabilitation Centre (a non -profit organization) as a voluntary board member. At the Centre she mentors a number of young women to develop talent. She has delivered speeches and managed training programmes at corporate women events including training women who sit on boards of directors. Nancy's personal and passionate quotation is "Women, Lets uplift and enhance each other, This PhD (Pull her Down) syndrome must end forthwith."
